Aims of the Guild
The Guild was formed in 1979 by a group of experlienced Ckae Decorators who saw there was a need to establish a forum whereby decorators could share their knowledge and expertise with others interested in the craft and to further develop the craft for the benefit of all as well as to encourage new and interested decorators to participate and expand their knowledge
- The Aims of the Guild * To work together to improve the standards of cake decorating and for continued growth of its members' cake decorating skills in order to promote recognition of the value of cake decorating in the community
- * To encourage the spirit of fellowship and good will by the sharing of Knowledge and helping one another
- * To foster the exchange of ideas between the cake decorators at Branch level, as well as State, National and International levels.
- We organize seminars, exhibitions and competitions for all cake decorators to help them improve theirs skills and knowledge.
- The Guild publishes a quarterly magazine, "Sweet Perfection", containing information and ideas.
- We also help in the judging of decorated cakes and sugar art by assisting with schedules, running judges training courses and holding regular Judges updates.
Membership of the Guild is available to anyone who is interested in the art of/or promoting cake decorating, sugar art and who will abide by the constitution of the Guild.
